Lead single “Elegant Gypsy Suite” and “Nena” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. There were many famous songs of Al Di Meola available. I am not a real Jazz music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Tour De Force - Live’ really is amazing. I wish that “Tour De Force - Live” album was instrumental.
When I listen to Nena in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Advantage is nothing but pure genius. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Tour De Force - Live is Egyptian Danza. Race With Devil On Spanish… one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Al Di Meola is one of artists that allow his songs like Cruisin’ to stand on their own and be heard.
