For older fans Renaissance De La Harpe Celtique Cd1 will put a massive smile accross your face. Since Alan Stivell last CD (Renaissance De La Harpe Celtique Cd1) on Sparrow Records back in 1973, I have felt a massive void in my life. This fifteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Alan Stivell has. I wish that “Renaissance De La Harpe Celtique Cd1″ album was instrumental.
Suite Des Montagnes is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Marig Ar Pollanton is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Droceliande has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Alan Stivell’s strong vocals come to the fore. Son Ar Chistr - My least favorite song on this album. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Suite Irelandaise (3:07) a good melody. Silvestrig - For me, this is the best of the album. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. In Je Suis Ne Au Milieu De La Mer Alan Stivell is at his best. Ys is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Renaissance De La Harpe Celtique Cd1. I like the agression and power of Extraits De Manuscits Gallois. Eliz Iza which is my favorite is a truly Alan Stivell sounding song.
