Alan Stivell’s debut, ‘Renaissance De La Harpe Celtique Cd2′, does not fit easily into one genre. Now signed to Alan Stivell’s EMI Records, the title track from second album “Renaissance De La Harpe Celtique Cd2″ leads Alan Stivell’s back-to-school campaign. On Renaissance De La Harpe Celtique Cd2 album, Alan Stivell have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Alan Stivell is one of my favourite bands of all time.
Susy Mac Guire (3:35) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Jan Morrison Reel is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. She Moved Through The Fair had me crying as I was able to relate so well. In Can I Melinydd it becomes nowhere more obvious that Alan Stivell has yet to define own style. This track is clearly meant to showcase Alan Stivell’s vocal abilities. Listening to An Dro (Nevez) you can hear that Alan Stivell has still amazing chemistry with band members. Maro Ma Mestrez is the funkiest number on the album. Brezhoneg’ Rack - Alan Stivell first major hit. An Hani A Garan is simply exquisite. Metig is a very catchy tune. Kimiad is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses.
