Terre Des Vivants - Bed An Dud isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Since Alan Stivell last CD (Terre Des Vivants - Bed An Dud) on EMI Records back in 1981, I have felt a massive void in my life. There is so much to love about Alan Stivell, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Another great offering from Alan Stivell.
Put Rentrer En Bretagne into car stereo for your highway driving Beg Ar Van (La Pointe Du Van) sets the tone for the entire album. M.J. is probably one of Alan Stivell’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Alan Stivell is hitting on all cylinders in Raog Mont D’ar Skol (Avant D’aller A L’ecole). Only one song from Terre Des Vivants - Bed An Dud named Androides (1, 2, 3 Parties) really got me. Ideas stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. So much energy, so exciting a sound.Hidden Through The Hills is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. Cameronian Rant (L’appel Du Clan Des Cameron) pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Q Celts Fiesta is such a marvelous and optimistic song that things can get just better. This track is just a stunning masterpiece.
