Andrew Lloyd Webber was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Andrew Lloyd Webber and Variations together. This disc has all of the essential Andrew Lloyd Webber classics. Andrew Lloyd Webber’s debut, ‘Variations’, does not fit easily into one genre. Andrew Lloyd Webber “Variations” is an amazing album.
Although Theme and Variations 1-4 is very melodic it is far from sad. Andrew Lloyd Webber rocks harder than ever with Variations 5 and 6. Variation 7 is astounding. Only one song from Variations named Variation 8 really got me. Andrew Lloyd Webber has astounded me with this amazing track. Variation 10 is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. I love the melodic melody of Variations 11-15 (including Tributes) and to this day it makes me feel good. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Some call Variation 13-14 (varied) from Variations as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. Variation 17 is a marvelous sing-along. Overall a nice softer song. Variations 19, 20 and 5 (varied) is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Andrew Lloyd Webber breathes new life into the music in Variations 21 and 22. Variation 23 is the first taste of the new album.
