It’s natural for Anita Baker to take a stab at ‘Angel’ considering her long-professed love for Army of Lovers. Lead single “Angel” and “You’re The Best Thing Yet” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Anita Baker on ‘Angel’. Smart music for smart people.
This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Feel The Need good vocals. Squeeze Me is simply gorgeous. The sound of No More Tears is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Will You Be Mine because the melody in the chorus is so good. Do You Believe Me is a bit of a show-tune.
