It has been thirteen years Anvil’ last studio CD, “Metal On Metal” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. On Metal On Metal album, Anvil have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. ‘Metal On Metal’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Such great and happy songs.
This is probably my favorite song on the album. Stop Me is the more seemingly obscure song on Metal On Metal that bear up best to repeated listening. March Of The Crabs is outstanding work of Anvil. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. It’s such an underrated song. Scenery has a fun tempo. Tease Me, Please Me is beautiful, yet underrated track. Excellent vocals and musical performances.
