I am not a real Jazz music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Meet You at the Jazz Corner of the World CD1′ really is amazing. This album has some very good songs like Announcement By Pee Wee Marquette and The Opener. Since completing 1960’s ‘Announcement By Pee Wee Marquette’, Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers fulfilled their contract with Mute Records and where under no obligation to release another album. This is one of Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers best albums
This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. The Theme stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Announcement By Art Blakey is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Round About Midnight gives good insight into the truths. A great put together song.
