Since completing 1980’s ‘Parce que’, AZNAVOUR fulfilled their contract with Capitol Records and where under no obligation to release another album. I am not a real Folk music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Live Olympia 1980 CD2′ really is amazing. ‘Live Olympia 1980 CD2′ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Live Olympia 1980 CD2 is the best essence of AZNAVOUR.
In Eteins La Lumire full palet of sound is used by AZNAVOUR to accentuate the presentation. I’ve found myself listening to Trousse chemise back to back and back many times. Et pourtant is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Overall a nice softer song. Live Olympia 1980 CD2 couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Les plaisirs dimodis. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Presentation des musiciens is my favorite song on Live Olympia 1980 CD2. Comme ils disent - another great track from the Live Olympia 1980 CD2 album. Les deux guitares marked the continuation of AZNAVOUR in style evolution. I was truly moved when I heard Sur ma vie. This is one hell of a track. La Mamma is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Tu t’laisses aller is a perfect song and it grows on you. Ils sont tombes still maintains something of a specific flourish.
