There is so much to love about Barrabas, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Barrabas on ‘The Lion’. This is the first studio album from Barrabas since bad diagnosis in 1982. This is my first Barrabas Album and i must say i am blown away.
Lyrics of Lover Of The Night are precise and evocative. Viva Maria to me is the best you can get from Barrabas. Dolores - To me, this is the best song on the Bestial. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Barrabas allows each song to breathe and flourish. It took me a little time but I ended up loving So Long. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Barrabas. Big Brother great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.In The Lion ‘97 you won’t find any flashy solos. (Be My) Rebel ‘97 - This is a very lively song.
