Since Barrabas last CD (Desperately) on Savoy Records back in 1975, I have felt a massive void in my life. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Barrabas. Stanley Donwood has compared writing for Barrabas’s new album to that on ‘Desperately’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Great funk right here!
Take It All is another favourite of mine. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Fire Girl. Desperately to me is the best you can get from Barrabas. Best song on the album, love it. Sexy Lady - Check out that bassline! Better Days without a doubt is the standout song of Desperately. Blew our minds when we first heard Lay Down On Me.
