This eleven-song debut EP shows the promise that Bathory has. I am not a real Metal: Death,Black music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Bathory’ really is amazing. There is so much to love about Bathory, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Enjoy the show.
Hades is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. Reaper is a bit different from Bathory stereotypical stuff. Necromancy is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Sacrifice - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. In Conspiracy With Satan is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. Armageddon as a highlight of Bathory contains a ton of gorgeous melodies. In Raise The Dead it becomes nowhere more obvious that Bathory has yet to define own style. Best song on the album, love it. Outro is nothing but pure genius.
