This is one of the best Cd’s Ben Webster has dropped to date. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Ben Webster’s album Music for Loving CD2 falls to No. 2 with 467,000, a sales slide of 59%. After seeing Some Other Spring, I had to have a good Ben Webster cd. Music for Loving CD2 constantly brilliant.
One of the more genuine-sounding songs is When Your Lover Has Gone. Stars Fell On Alabama on Music for Loving CD2 is solid and easy to listen to. Under A Blanket Of Blue is a song to enjoy for years to come. Stars Fell On Alabama (Alternate) presents the amazing mix of instruments on Music for Loving CD2. First time I heard Under A Blanket Of Blue (Alternate) was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.Within the first few notes of Under A Blanket Of Blue (Alternate) it’s perfectly clear that Ben Webster is living this song. Still going through Music for Loving CD2 and coming to appreciate My Funny Valentine more and more with every listen. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. Nice and different song. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Music for Loving CD2. Almost Like Being In Love is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. (I Don’t Stand) A Ghost Of A Chance marked the continuation of Ben Webster in style evolution. I like Take The A Train because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. Musically We’re In Love Again is superior to other tracks in Music for Loving CD2. Some of the arrangements found on Music for Loving CD2 are surprisingly edgy. Moonlight On The Ganges is astounding. It Had To Be You catches attention immediately, My Fantasy is marvelous song though, very addictive. I Got It Bad (and That Ain’t Good) is one of the coolest songs Ben Webster has ever recorded.
