Poor Lover’s Blues - A strong beat. In Still In Love the music gets its power. TV Mama is almost impossible to review. A great put together song. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. Midnight Cannonball makes a person feel excellent. Opening track In The Evening shows the best of Big Joe Turner. Morning, Noon And Night is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Ti-Ri-Lee is my favorite song on Rhytm and Blues Years. The first time I listened to Lipstick, Powder And Paint I was struck by its cool sound. Rock A While to me is the best you can get from Big Joe Turner. After A While is the song that really did it for me. Trouble In Mind is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. I can’t stop playing World Of Trouble. Love Roller Coast is Big Joe Turner’s best work in years. I Need A Girl is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. After about the third Wee Baby Blues listen through, I began to believe this song is Big Joe Turner’s essence. (We’re Gonna) Jump For Joy marked the continuation of Big Joe Turner in style evolution. Sweet Sue can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Big Joe Turner is all about. My Reasons For Living have really caught my ear and imagination. Love Oh Careless Love is the albums biggest surprise. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. Chains Of Love is beautiful, yet underrated track. The sound in My Little Honeydripper is really warm and Big Joe Turner’s signature voice is still very much present. Tomorrow Night is absolutely incredible. Honey Hush - For me, this is the best of the album.
