Big Joe Williams Back To The Country MP3

Big Joe Williams Back To The Country imageNowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Big Joe Williams on ‘Ain’t Gonna Be Your Lowdown Dog’. While no new Big Joe Williams album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1964 tour in North America. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Big Joe Williams’s album Back To The Country falls to No. 2 with 559,000, a sales slide of 93%. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.

Annie Mae is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Blues Everywhere I Go catches attention immediately, The song Breakdown ending is my favorite… so catchy! In Desert Blues the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. When I listen to Down The Line in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Voice and instruments in Goin’ Back Home complement each other. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Big Joe Williams. Mean Backstabber is just simply stunning. Miss Ida B very upbeat. The sound in My Baby Left Me A Mule To Ride is really warm and Big Joe Williams’s signature voice is still very much present. My Black Woman had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Put On Your Nightcap is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. Voice of Big Joe Williams in Saturday Night Ball is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. Once See See Rider gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Shake Your Boogie was the first single release from the album Back To The Country. The Moon Is Rising to me is the best you can get from Big Joe Williams. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. Worried and Lonesome - A catchy, upbeat tune. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. You Can Stay Out is simple, dignified and effective, Big Joe Williams refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more.
