Since completing 1979’s ‘Travels With Myself - And Someone Else’, Bill Bruford fulfilled their contract with ForeFront Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Now signed to Bill Bruford’s ForeFront Records, the title track from second album “Bruford Tapes” leads Bill Bruford’s back-to-school campaign. ‘Bruford Tapes’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Bruford Tapes.
Bill Bruford offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. Only one song from Bruford Tapes named Sample and Hold really got me. One listen to the sheer beauty of Hell’s Bells was all I needed. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. Sahara of Snow, Pt. 1 has a fun tempo. Although Sahara of Snow, Pt. 2 is very melodic it is far from sad. One of a Kind, Pt. 2 is a song to enjoy for years to come. 5G one of the best in my collection.
