It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Bill Conti energies, virtually a rebirth. There is so much to love about Bill Conti, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. On the Iceland charts, superstar Bill Conti’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Escape To Victory touched my soul like nothing else.
The Pow Camp one of the best in my collection. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. In French Resistance Bill Conti is at his best. Day Of The Match has a fun tempo. Music of Nazis’ Dirty Game is gentle, never overbearing. Goal For Allies! as a highlight of Escape To Victory contains a ton of excellent melodies. This is probably my favorite song on the album. Best song on the album, love it. I think Penalty Blocked/Escape to Victory is the best song Bill Conti has ever done. End Credits good vocals.
