This twelve-song debut EP shows the promise that Black Flag has. This album has some very good songs like Family Man and Salt On A Slug. It’s natural for Black Flag to take a stab at ‘Family Man’ considering her long-professed love for Paul Oakenfold. Black Flag is one of my favourite bands of all time.
Salt On A Slug had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Hollywood Diary is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. This song stands out greatly from the others. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Strong, powerful vocals of Black Flag in No Deposit - No Return are very impressive. Armageddon Man is so unique, as each one of the songs is. Long Lost Dog Of It to me is the best you can get from Black Flag. It took me a little time but I ended up loving I Won’t Stick Any Of You. Account For What is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. What sets The Pups Are Doggin’ It apart is Black Flag’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres.
