I am not a real Blues music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Lowell Fulson - Chess Blues (1952-1954) - CD2′ really is amazing. IF YOU LIKE ALL Blues - Various Artists’S SONG GO FOR IT! Ivan Grach has compared writing for Blues - Various Artists’s new album to that on ‘Lowell Fulson - Chess Blues (1952-1954) - CD2′ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Oh yes, this album gets Array out of Array
In Hard Time Gettin’ Started (Eddie Boyd) Blues - Various Artists is at his best. Voice and instruments in Whose Muddy Shoes (Elmore James) complement each other. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Eight Ball (Gus Jenkins) from the beginning to the end. You have to get essence of the Untitled Instrumental (Henry Gray and Morris Pejoe)’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Blues - Various Artists. Evil (Howlin’ Wolf) is the albums biggest surprise. Forty Four (Howlin’ Wolf) is a marvelous song and it grows on you. Mama Talk to Your Daughter (J. B. Lenoir) - This one is lively and fun. Blues - Various Artists offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. Walkin’ the Boogie (alternate; John Lee Hooker) - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. This track is full of harmonies and gets Lowell Fulson - Chess Blues (1952-1954) - CD2 off to a relaxing start. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Don’t Need No Horse (Little Walter). Fast Boogie (Little Walter) is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Got to Find My Baby (alternate; Little Walter) is the albums biggest surprise. Juke (Little Walter) - To me, this is the best song on the Lowell Fulson - Chess Blues (1952-1954) - CD2. Music in Reconsider Baby (Lowell Fulson) is cool as in all tracks of Lowell Fulson - Chess Blues (1952-1954) - CD2. Broken Heart (alternate; Memphis Minnie) - For me, this is the best of the album. Conjur Man (Memphis Minnie) is simple, dignified and effective, Blues - Various Artists refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Hoochie Coochie Man (Muddy Waters) can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Blues - Various Artists is all about. Who’s Gonna Be Your Sweet Man When I’m Gone (Muddy Waters) defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. Funeral Hearse at My Door (Rocky Fuller) is one of my favorite songs by Blues - Various Artists. Got to Have It (Willie Mabon) is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Blew our minds when we first heard I’m Mad (Willie Mabon). This track is just a stunning masterpiece.
