After seeing Ma Baker, I had to have a good Boney M cd. There is so much to love about Boney M, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Boney M’s debut, ‘Love For Sale’, does not fit easily into one genre. I wish that “Love For Sale” album was instrumental.
This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. Have You Ever Seen The Rain is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Gloria, Can You Waddle is one of the best records ever. Plantation Boy - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Motherless Child is absolutely incredible. Still going through Love For Sale and coming to appreciate Silent Lover more and more with every listen. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. Still I’m Sad hits the heart.
