I am not a real Jazz: Fusion music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Product’ really is amazing. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Brand X on ‘Don’t Make Waves’. While no new Brand X album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1979 tour in Africa. Exciting stuff.
Dance Of The Illegal Aliens is simply excellent. Soho gets you up and jumping. Not Good Enough-See Me! is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Algon is astounding work of Brand X. I listened to the opening track Rhesus Perplexus and liked it a lot. Some of the arrangements found on Product are surprisingly edgy. And So To F make listening to Brand X like being in some sort of time warp. April is Brand X’s best work in years.
