This album has some very good songs like Peter Grimes! and You Sailed Your Boat. Self-described as Classical with lots of words, Britten, Benjamin comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. It has been sixteen years Britten, Benjamin’ last studio CD, “Peter Grimes CD1″ which won Array Emmy� Awards and was nominated for album of the year. One of Britten, Benjamin’s best albums yet.
You Sailed Your Boat is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Britten, Benjamin released so far. You have to get essence of the Peter Grimes, I Here Advise You!’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. Put The Truth… The Pity… into car stereo for your highway driving Interlude I is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Voice of Britten, Benjamin in Oh, Hang at Open Doors is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. Hi! Give Us a Hand pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Peter Grimes CD1 is I Have to Go from Pub to Pub. Let Her Among You - A strong beat. What sets Look, the Storm Cone! apart is Britten, Benjamin’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. And Do You Prefer the Storm - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. What Harbour Shelters Peace is a bit different from Britten, Benjamin stereotypical stuff. Interlude II - Okay, I just talked about depth. Album opener Past Time to Close! is a bright, upbeat ditty. You can find feelings on this piece of art. Have You Heard? makes a person feel amazing. This song is dynamic and dramatic. Old Joe Has Gone Fishing is another strong production from Britten, Benjamin. Charming song, great melody. Glitter of Waves had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Let This Be a Holiday - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. This Unrelenting Work is a medium tempo tune.
