It’s natural for Burl Ives to take a stab at ‘a little bitty tear’ considering her long-professed love for Ondskapt. For older fans The Nashville Years, Vol. 1 will put a massive smile accross your face. The Nashville Years, Vol. 1 is not something you should pass up.
The Nashville Years, Vol. 1 couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track the long black veil. shanghied is just simply stunning. the almighty dollar bill is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. forty hour week is really a nice song to relax and listen too. Music in royl telephone is perfect as in all tracks of The Nashville Years, Vol. 1. delia is outstanding work of Burl Ives. oh, my side - A catchy, upbeat tune. lenora let your hair hang down is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Burl Ives sings mocking bird hill in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. i walk the line is another favourite of mine. Music of drink to me only with thine eyes is gentle, never overbearing. Burl Ives breathes new life into the music in mama don’t want no peas no rice. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. I’ve found myself listening to the oregon trail back to back and back many times. home on the range is really the reason why I recommend buying The Nashville Years, Vol. 1. when the bloom is on the sage hits the heart. my adobe hacienda is the albums biggest surprise. cowboy’s dream is a very catchy tune. mexicali rose is a great opener for The Nashville Years, Vol. 1. the last roundup (4:05) - awsome. o bury me not on the lone prairie - arguably the best track on The Nashville Years, Vol. 1 album. jingle jangle jingle is a perfect song and it grows on you. cool water (3:58) a good melody. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. holding hands for joe is probably the highlight of the album. sixteen fathoms down (2:17) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. In what you gonna do leroy you won’t find any flashy solos.
