When you buy a Caetano Veloso album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Lead single “Nostalgia (That’s What Rock’n Roll Is All About)” and “Mora Na Filosofia” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Now signed to Caetano Veloso’s Mute Records, the title track from second album “Transa” leads Caetano Veloso’s back-to-school campaign. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
Mora Na Filosofia (6:16) a good melody. Neolithic Man was the first single release from the album Transa. Triste Bahia is the more seemingly obscure song on Transa that bear up best to repeated listening. One listen to the sheer beauty of It’s a Long Way was all I needed. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Only one song from Transa named You Don’t Know Me really got me.
