Now signed to Carlos Santana’s ForeFront Records, the title track from second album “Shango” leads Carlos Santana’s back-to-school campaign. This is the first studio album from Carlos Santana since bad diagnosis in 1982. This disc has all of the essential Carlos Santana classics. Shango is not something you should pass up.
Hold On is a bit of a show-tune. This is probably my favorite song on the album. Nowhere To Run - For me, this is the best of the album. The song Nueva York ending is my favorite… so catchy! Some of the arrangements found on Shango are surprisingly edgy. Body Surfing is the song that really did it for me. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Warrior is such a amazing and optimistic song that things can get just better. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit.
