There were many famous songs of Charles Aznavour available. While no new Charles Aznavour album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1972 tour in North America. Olympia 1972 Live (CD1) carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Unappreciated gift to Chanson
Simple and heartfelt closing track Idiote Je T’aime closes Olympia 1972 Live (CD1) on a high note. On Se Reveillera is a song to enjoy for years to come. Vocals of Charles Aznavour in Leas Jours Heureux really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. Comme Des Roses is probably the highlight of the album. Un Par Un motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. A Ma Femme is a good listen every once in a while. Nice and different song. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Mourir D’aimer. Voice of Charles Aznavour in Les Plaisirs Demodes is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. Charles Aznavour is one of artists that allow his songs like J’ai Vecu to stand on their own and be heard. I was truly moved when I heard Non, Je N’ai Rien Ouble. Le Cabotin sets the tone for the entire album. First time I heard Emmenez-moi was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing. After about the third Que C’est Triste Venise listen through, I began to believe this song is Charles Aznavour’s essence.
