Ivan Grach has compared writing for Chastain’s new album to that on ‘Mystery Of Illusion’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Chastain energies, virtually a rebirth. Self-described as Metal: Heavy with lots of words, Chastain comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Mystery Of Illusion is not something you should pass up.
When The Battle’s Over is pretty funky and mellow. Mystery Of Illusion is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. I’ve Seen Tomorrow has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Endlessly marked the continuation of Chastain in style evolution. Voice of Chastain in I Fear No Evil is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. Night Of The Gods is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. We Shall Overcome is a very catchy tune. The Wind Of Change have really caught my ear and imagination.
