For older fans Mr. B will put a massive smile accross your face. This disc has all of the essential Chet Baker classics. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Chet Baker on ‘Dolphin Dance’. This is what good Jazz should be.
Ellen And David is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. Strollin’ is the song that really did it for me. In Your Own Sweet Way gives taste of what makes Chet Baker special as a musician. Mister B. is probably the highlight of the album. Beatrice marked the continuation of Chet Baker in style evolution. White Blues is probably one of Chet Baker’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity.
