On Showbiz album, Chilly have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Showbiz is an amazing album, racked with beauty.two years ago, Chilly briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Showbiz”. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
Showbiz had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Rock’n Roll Sally is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Taxman can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Chilly is all about. Come Let’s Go is a bit different from Chilly stereotypical stuff. After few listenings I started to like The Race more and more. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Days is one of the coolest songs Chilly has ever recorded. Two Wrongs Don’ Make A Right has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. We Are The Popkings to me is the best you can get from Chilly. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Showbiz. Gotta Move On - A classic Chilly track. This track is clearly meant to showcase Chilly’s vocal abilities.
