For older fans Catastrophe Ballet With Rhapsody Of Youth and Rain will put a massive smile accross your face. Since completing 1984’s ‘After The Rain’, Christian Death fulfilled their contract with Virgin Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Catastrophe Ballet With Rhapsody Of Youth and Rain is an amazing album, racked with beauty.I greatly enjoyed this CD.
This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Christian Death sings his heart out in As Evening Falls. Awake at the Wall is pretty funky and mellow. Between Youth is astounding. Cervix Couch is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Electra Descending is a good listen every once in a while. I think Sleepwalk is the best song Christian Death has ever done. The Blue Hour gives good insight into the truths. The Drowning - This one makes me want to not only sing along. From the moment you listen to The Feeling Somnambulist you’re hooked. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. Get Catastrophe Ballet With Rhapsody Of Youth and Rain and turn on This Glass House if you are going to sip your wine late at night.
