Clannad Ii carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. While no new Clannad album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1974 tour in North America. Since completing 1974’s ‘An Gabhar Ban (The White Goat)’, Clannad fulfilled their contract with SixSteps records and where under no obligation to release another album. IT makes me wanna dance!
I like Eleanor Plunkett because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. Coinleach Ghlas An Fhomhair make listening to Clannad like being in some sort of time warp. From the moment you listen to Rince Philib A’cheoil you’re hooked. By Chance It Was is probably the highlight of the album. Rince Briotanach is the exquisite blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Clannad. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Teidhir Abhaile Riu I just LOVE this mix! Fairly Shot Of Her is a bit different from Clannad stereotypical stuff. I like to sing along with Chuaigh Me Na Rosann, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes.
