Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Colosseum on ‘Walking In The Park’. There is no doubt that Colosseum has talent. sixteen years ago, Colosseum briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Plenty Hard Luck”. If I may, I suggest “Walking In The Park”. That one song is amazing!
One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Plenty Hard Luck. Mandarin is the more seemingly obscure song on Those Who Are About To Die Salute You that bear up best to repeated listening. Debut - Okay, I just talked about depth. Beware The Ides Of March is a great opener for Those Who Are About To Die Salute You. The Road She Walked Before is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Backwater Blues is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. Those About To Die defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone.
