Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. Six Gun Shooting - My least favorite song on this album. Country - Various Artists emotions are reflected through Have You Heard The News. Some of the arrangements found on The Legend of Jesse James are surprisingly edgy. Help Him, Jesus is pretty funky and mellow. The Old Clay County - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Riding With Jesse James because the melody in the chorus is so good. Charming song, great melody. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on The Legend of Jesse James is Wis We Were Back Missouri. Northfield, The Plan is perfect work of Country - Various Artists. This track is clearly meant to showcase Country - Various Artists’s vocal abilities. In High Walls the music gets its power. The Death of Me - A catchy, upbeat tune. The Plot is one of these floating songs. One More Shot is the most memorable and marvelous.
