This disc has all of the essential Creedence Clearwater Revival classics. Now signed to Creedence Clearwater Revival’s Capitol Records, the title track from second album “Willy and The Poorboys” leads Creedence Clearwater Revival’s back-to-school campaign. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Creedence Clearwater Revival on ‘Down On The Corner’. Willy and The Poorboys is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
Nice and different song. Cotton Fields - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Poorbody Shuffle is one of my favorite songs by Creedence Clearwater Revival. All of songs on Willy and The Poorboys and have something to say letting alone Feelin’ Blue. Fortunate Son still maintains something of a specific flourish. Voice of Creedence Clearwater Revival in Don’t Look Now is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. The Midnight Special is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Side O’ The Road is probably one of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Creedence Clearwater Revival allows each song to breathe and flourish.
