It’s natural for Current 93 to take a stab at ‘Christus Christus The Shells Have Cracked’ considering her long-professed love for Godless Cruelty. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Current 93 on ‘Christus Christus The Shells Have Cracked’. Since Current 93 last CD (Dogs Blood Rising) on Sparrow Records back in 1984, I have felt a massive void in my life. IT makes me wanna dance!
After about the third Falling Back In Fields Of Rape listen through, I began to believe this song is Current 93’s essence. From Broken Cross, Locusts is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Raio No Terrasu (Jesus Wept) is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. St. Peters Keys All Bloody - Current 93 first major hit. Dogs Blood Rising is the albums biggest surprise.
