As always, Dave Brubeck Quartet’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Chasin’ Yourself is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. Hold Fast To Dreams sets the tone for the entire album. Voice and instruments in Mariel complement each other. Opening track Por Que No? (Why Not?) shows the best of Dave Brubeck Quartet. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. In The Crossing Dave Brubeck Quartet is at his best.
