For older fans IMPROVISATIONS FOR CELLO AND GUITAR will put a massive smile accross your face. This disc has all of the essential David Holland and Derek Bailey classics. Improvised Piece III and Improvised Piece IV is really good.
After about the third Improvised Piece IV listen through, I began to believe this song is David Holland and Derek Bailey’s essence. Vocals of David Holland and Derek Bailey in Improvised Piece V really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm.
