Heartbreaker isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. It’s natural for Dionne Warwick to take a stab at ‘All The Love In The World’ considering her long-professed love for Paul Oakenfold. While no new Dionne Warwick album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1982 tour in Australia. Overall, I would highly recommend Heartbreaker CD.
Heartbreaker actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Dionne Warwick’s face. I Can’t See Anything But You is one of my favorite songs by Dionne Warwick. Vocals of Dionne Warwick in It Makes No Difference really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. I like the agression and power of Just One More Night. Dionne Warwick is one of artists that allow his songs like Misunderstood to stand on their own and be heard. Our Day Will Come is worth the money. Take The Short Way Home is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Dionne Warwick ever produced. You Are My Love is a bit of a show-tune. This is probably my favorite song on the album.
