Easy Listening - Various Artists had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. This -song debut EP shows the promise that Easy Listening - Various Artists has. This album has some very good songs like Hong Kong Blues (Martin Denny) and China Nights (Martin Denny). To me Easy Listening - Various Artists is the best band ever.
China Nights (Martin Denny) is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Ah Me Furi (Martin Denny) is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Voice of Easy Listening - Various Artists in Japanese Farewell Song (Sayonara; Martin Denny) is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. Little China Doll (Martin Denny) is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. I believe Narcissus Queen (Martin Denny) is one of the most excellent, heartfelt songs ever written. March Of The Siamese Children (Martin Denny) is a good listen every once in a while. Sukara (Martin Denny) is probably the highlight of the album. Don’t judge Buddhist Bells (Martin Denny) on the first listening. M’bira (Martin Denny) - For me, this is the best of the album. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think On A Little Street In Singapore (Martin Denny) is my favorite song on Oriental Exotica. Chinese Lullaby (Martin Denny) presents the amazing mix of instruments on Oriental Exotica. Ringo Oiwake (Martin Denny) sets the tone for the entire album. Limehouse Blues (Martin Denny) is nothing but pure genius. Sake Rock (Martin Denny) is a bit different from Easy Listening - Various Artists stereotypical stuff. Firecracker (Martin Denny) motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. I now have Sukiyaki (Martin Denny) as one of my personal favorites. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. As always, Easy Listening - Various Artists’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Katsumi Love Theme (Arthur Lyman) is a striking and quite long song. Easy Listening - Various Artists is one of artists that allow his songs like Sakura (Arthur Lyman) to stand on their own and be heard. Musically March Of The Siamese Children (Arthur Lyman) is superior to other tracks in Oriental Exotica. Opening track Ye Lai Sian (Arthur Lyman) shows the best of Easy Listening - Various Artists. Otome San (Japanese Drinking Song; Arthur Lyman) is really the reason why I recommend buying Oriental Exotica.
