After seeing Drunken Mozart In The Desert, I had to have a good Edgar Froese cd. eight years ago, Edgar Froese briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “If 810 (Excerpt)”. Since Edgar Froese last CD (Solo 1974-1979) on ForeFront Records back in 1979, I have felt a massive void in my life. Edgar Froese is one of my favourite bands of all time.
Edgar Froese emotions are reflected through If 810 (Excerpt). All of songs on Solo 1974-1979 and have something to say letting alone Tropic Of Capricorn (Remixed Excerpt). Epsilon In Malayisian Pale (Excerpt) make listening to Edgar Froese like being in some sort of time warp. Opening track Pa 701 (Remixed Excerpt) shows the best of Edgar Froese. Stuntman has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Edgar Froese’s strong vocals come to the fore. In Os 452 (Remixed Excerpt) Edgar Froese is at his best. Pizarro And Athaualpa (Remixed Excerpt) - Okay, I just talked about depth. In Ngc 891 (Re-Recorded) you won’t find any flashy solos.
