Since completing 1984’s ‘Tanz Debil’, Einsturzende Neubauten fulfilled their contract with Capitol Records and where under no obligation to release another album. It has been twelve years Einsturzende Neubauten’ last studio CD, “Strategies Against Architecture” which won Array Academy Awards� and was nominated for album of the year. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Einsturzende Neubauten on ‘Tanz Debil’. This album is in perfect progression from Einsturzende Neubauten!
Schmerzen Horen is one of my favorite songs by Einsturzende Neubauten. I hope to keep hearing Einsturzende Neubauten works for a long time to come. Krieg In Den Stadten (Steh Auf Berlin) gets you up and jumping. Zum Tier Machen (Live) is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Draussen Ist Feindlich is a good listen every once in a while. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Stahlversion because the melody in the chorus is so good. Einsturzende Neubauten rocks harder than ever with Schwarz. Negativ Nein motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Kalte Sterne - arguably the best track on Strategies Against Architecture album. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Gestohlenes Band (ORF) is gorgeous and different song. Schwarz (Mutiert) (Live) is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track.
