I am not a real Jazz music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Sings the George and Ira Gershwin Song Book (CD2) CD2′ really is amazing. Ella Fitzgerald’s debut, ‘Sings the George and Ira Gershwin Song Book (CD2) CD2′, does not fit easily into one genre. Sings the George and Ira Gershwin Song Book (CD2) CD2 isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Such great and happy songs.
They All Laughed is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. Vocals of Ella Fitzgerald in My Cousin In Milwaukee really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. Somebody From Somewhere is the albums biggest surprise. I can’t stop playing A Foggy Day. Don’t judge Clap Yo’ Hands on the first listening. Sings the George and Ira Gershwin Song Book (CD2) CD2 couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track For You, For Me, For Evermore. Stiff Upper Lip - Check out that bassline! Opening track Boy Wanted shows the best of Ella Fitzgerald. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Ella Fitzgerald. Soon is a strong cut, one of many. Lyrics of I’ve Got A Crush On You are precise and evocative. Bidin’ My Time is beautiful, yet underrated track. Aren’t You Kind Of Glad We Did? - A catchy, upbeat tune. Overall a nice softer song. Listening to “The Half Of It, Dearie” Blues you can hear that Ella Fitzgerald has still amazing chemistry with band members. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. Music and lyrics of He Loves and She Loves creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming.
