Since Ella Fitzgerald last CD (Sings the Rodgers and Hart Song) on Mute Records back in 1956, I have felt a massive void in my life. Sings the Rodgers and Hart Song is an amazing album, racked with beauty.If I may, I suggest “Have You Met Miss Jones?”. That one song is amazing!
You Took Advantage of Me is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. To Keep My Love Alive one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Dancing on the Ceiling is possibly the best song Ella Fitzgerald has come up. The Lady Is a Tramp has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Ella Fitzgerald sings his heart out in With a Song in My Heart. Manhattan have really caught my ear and imagination. Johnny One Note was the first single release from the album Sings the Rodgers and Hart Song. I Wish I Were in Love Again is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Spring Is Here is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. It Never Entered My Mind marked the continuation of Ella Fitzgerald in style evolution. After you’ve listened to This Can’t Be Love, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Thou Swell - For me, this is the best of the album. You have to get essence of the Where or When’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. Little Girl Blue - A catchy, upbeat tune. I was truly moved when I heard Give It Back to the Indians. Only one song from Sings the Rodgers and Hart Song named Ten Cents a Dance really got me. There’s a Small Hotel - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Ella Fitzgerald. In Ev’rything I’ve Got full palet of sound is used by Ella Fitzgerald to accentuate the presentation. I Could Write a Book is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. Strong, powerful vocals of Ella Fitzgerald in My Funny Valentine are very impressive. Voice and instruments in Bewitched, Bothered and Bewild complement each other. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Mountain Greenery. Wait Till You See Her makes a person feel astounding. Music in Lover [Stereo Take] is perfect as in all tracks of Sings the Rodgers and Hart Song. I hope to keep hearing Ella Fitzgerald works for a long time to come. One listen to the sheer beauty of Here in My Arms was all I needed. All of songs on Sings the Rodgers and Hart Song and have something to say letting alone Blue Moon. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. I’ve Got Five Dollars is a striking and quite long song. The song Lover [Monaural Take] ending is my favorite… so catchy!
