After debuting at No. 1 last week, Emmylou Harris’s album Light of the Stable falls to No. 2 with 297,000, a sales slide of 58%. Since completing 1979’s ‘Christmas Time’s A-Coming’, Emmylou Harris fulfilled their contract with Savoy Records and where under no obligation to release another album. It has been eight years Emmylou Harris’ last studio CD, “Light of the Stable” which won Array MTV Music Awards and was nominated for album of the year. O Little Town of Bethlehem one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Away in a Manger gives taste of what makes Emmylou Harris special as a musician. Album opener Angel Eyes is a bright, upbeat ditty. Emmylou Harris has astounded me with this amazing track. Beautiful Star of Bethlehem is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. First time I heard Little Drummer Boy was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Golden Cradle. Silent Night (3:39) a good melody. Light of the Stable - a classic song.
