I am not a real Country music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Pieces of the Sky’ really is amazing. When you buy a Emmylou Harris album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Emmylou Harris’s debut, ‘Pieces of the Sky’, does not fit easily into one genre. This is my first Emmylou Harris Album and i must say i am blown away.
Queen of the Silver Dollar make listening to Emmylou Harris like being in some sort of time warp. Too Far Gone is one of the more up-tempo songs on Pieces of the Sky. If I Could Only Win Your Love to me is the best you can get from Emmylou Harris. Boulder to Birmingham - For me, this is the best of the album. Such hits like Before Believing will leave you hooked. Nice and different song. From the moment you listen to Sleepless Nights you’re hooked. Although Coat of Many Colors is very melodic it is far from sad. For No One is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music.
