Lead single “Deep Down” and “Yes Sir, No Sir” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. There is no doubt that Ennio Morricone has talent. Self-described as Instrumental with lots of words, Ennio Morricone comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. If you love Ennio Morricone as much as I do, then Ennio Morricone Danger: Diabolik is the CD for you!
This track is full of harmonies and gets Danger: Diabolik off to a relaxing start. Charading Chauffeurs In Wait is one of the coolest songs Ennio Morricone has ever recorded. Album opener Driving Decoys is a bright, upbeat ditty. Into The Cave is almost impossible to review. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Diabolik’s Hide-Out is my favorite song on Danger: Diabolik. Some of the arrangements found on Danger: Diabolik are surprisingly edgy. Logical Suggestion is so unique, as each one of the songs is. Money Orgy hits the heart. Listening to Ciminal -Justice Solution you can hear that Ennio Morricone has still amazing chemistry with band members. Music of Headlines (Organ Freakout1) is gentle, never overbearing. I hope to keep hearing Ennio Morricone works for a long time to come. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Dumped By Dimockracy. eva’s holy dress (deep down three) is the more seemingly obscure song on Danger: Diabolik that bear up best to repeated listening. Diabolik Capture -Conference is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Gunfight At Red Sands (1:33) - awsome. I think Eva’s Sketchy I.D. is the best song Ennio Morricone has ever done. metamorphosis (organ freakout2) is cool song though, very addictive. Some call emerald bikini (deep down four) from Danger: Diabolik as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. doctor vinear’s i.d. prescription gets you up and jumping. Downhill Decoy is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. I was truly moved when I heard vinear’s x-out session/death/life. Jenko’s Plan Details is a good listen every once in a while. In Guiness’s Gold Bar full palet of sound is used by Ennio Morricone to accentuate the presentation. bubbles (extracting au from h2o) is just simply stunning. I’ve found myself listening to Underwater Wah-Wah back to back and back many times. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Eva Alone great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.Vocals of Ennio Morricone in the pyrite wink (deep down five) really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. Last Laff is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Deep Down (Parade 5052), which shows, blatantly, how much Ennio Morricone has evolved as a singer. Ok Connery (Parade 5035) is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Ennio Morricone released so far. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. After about the third Untitled listen through, I began to believe this song is Ennio Morricone’s essence.
