Since Eric Clapton last CD (Happy, Happy Birthday Eric) on EMI Records back in 1976, I have felt a massive void in my life. On Happy, Happy Birthday Eric album, Eric Clapton have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. nine years ago, Eric Clapton briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Who Do You Love? (Van Morrison - Vocal)”. If you love Eric Clapton as much as I do, then Eric Clapton Happy, Happy Birthday Eric is the CD for you!
Nice and different song. Hard Times (Rick Danko - Vocal) is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Stormy Monday (Van Morrison - Vocal) - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Instrumental Jam is one of the best records ever. I think Adios Mi Corason (Bob Dylan - Vocal) is the best song Eric Clapton has ever done. The Water Is Wide (Bob Dylan - Vocal) have really caught my ear and imagination. There is astounding mix of music in Idiot Wind (Bob Dylan - Vocal). Big River (Eric Clapton - Vocal) is really a nice song to relax and listen too. I loved Steppin’ Out (Levon Helm - Vocal) the first time I heard it.
