It has been fourteen years Eurythmics’ last studio CD, “1984 (For The Love Of Big Brother)” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. I am not a real New Age music type of person, but i have to admit ‘1984 (For The Love Of Big Brother)’ really is amazing. fourteen years ago, Eurythmics briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Sexcrime (nineteen eighty-four)”. This album is in perfect progression from Eurythmics!
Sexcrime (nineteen eighty-four) is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Eurythmics ever produced. When listening to For The Love Of Big Brother, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. In Winston’s Diary the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. This track is a great song that still never gets old. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. I like the agression and power of Doubleplusgood. Ministry Of Love - I like this one. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music.
