It’s natural for Flora Purim to take a stab at ‘Dr. Jive (Part 1)’ considering her long-professed love for B.B. King. Now signed to Flora Purim’s ForeFront Records, the title track from second album “Butterfly Dreams” leads Flora Purim’s back-to-school campaign. Self-described as Jazz with lots of words, Flora Purim comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. This is what good Jazz should be.
I’ve found myself listening to Butterfly Dreams back to back and back many times. It’s such an underrated song. Summer Night still maintains something of a specific flourish. No Flora Purim song has come close to capturing my attention as Love Reborn did. Moon Dreams is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Dr. Jive (Part 2) is possibly the best song Flora Purim has come up. Light As A Feather one is one of the better boring ones.
