It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Francis Lai energies, virtually a rebirth. There is no doubt that Francis Lai has talent. three years ago, Francis Lai briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Journey To Innsbruck”. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
Journey To Innsbruck is a good listen every once in a while. Peace And Understanding has a fun tempo. Love Theme is Francis Lai’s best work in years. Elephant Shake - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. A fantastic track full of wonder. Walk In The Woods is astounding. Hannibal’s Rest hits the heart. Tyrolean Folk Dance is gorgeous work of Francis Lai. A unique and uplifting song. Sickness In The Family on Hannibal Brooks is solid and easy to listen to. Lucy’s Theme is one of the more up-tempo songs on Hannibal Brooks. Peace And Understunding(Reprise) is simple, dignified and effective, Francis Lai refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. In Approeacching The Frontier full palet of sound is used by Francis Lai to accentuate the presentation. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit.
